FRIDAY

12pm - 6pm: Rider Check In at Club 99 (Pierce and Clarke)

  • -Sign your waiver (required)
  • -Receive your team/rider gear pack (manifest/t-shirts/stickers/high fives)
  • -Have dinner (outside RW Co-op at the corner of Clarke and Fratney)
  • -Make new friends

You will need to know your Team #, Team Name, and Your Name (duh) at check in.

The first rider to arrive for your team will be given ALL gear for your entire team (t-shirts, spoke cards, stickers). EVERY rider is still required to check in and sign a waiver.

Rider check in CLOSES AT 6PM.

Hear that?

RIDER CHECK IN CLOSES AT 6PM AND DOES NOT REOPEN UNTIL 8PM AT VOLUNTEER HQ.

Don't be a jerk! Arrive early, check in long before 6pm. Hang out, make new friends at the rider dinner at the co-op!

If you don't check in by 6pm, you must wait until 8pm and check in at Volunteer HQ (across from Start/Finish). You won't be able to start the ride until then.

4pm - 6pm: DINNER
A vegetarian meal will be served to all outside the Riverwest Co-Op, near check-in (733 E Clarke St, 53212).

6:30pm: Rider Meeting and Opening Ceremony
ALL RIDERS MUST ATTEND. The rider meeting is in the street at Start/Finish on Pierce St. This is where you will be reminded to obey traffic laws, wear a helmet, and have front and rear lights from dusk to dawn. We will go over the race rules (this is important), bonus checkpoints (so is this), how to not be a jerk (v important) and any other last minute logistics.
ALL RIDERS MUST ATTEND.

7pm: RIDE BEGINS!
Riders will gather on Pierce Street behind Start/Finish. We will release blocks of riders AS TRAFFIC ALLOWS. Center Street is a major intersection and we need to stagger everyone. The buses wait for no one, we wait for the buses. This is a neighborhood and an urban ride... the streets are not closed for us. Ride safe. Do not be a jerk.

SATURDAY

8am - 10am: BREAKFAST at All Peoples Church (2600 N 2nd St 53212)
Family meal. Breakfast will always be a strongly-encouraged bonus checkpoint. Free laps for all who attend.

7pm: RIDE ENDS and the final tallying begins
Join us for a finish line photo and awards ceremony. Laps ridden + bonus checkpoint laps = Your final score. You won't remember your final lap count as well as you'll remember the neighborhood cheering you on, the kindness of a snack shared with a someone you just met, a deep talk at a bonus checkpoint at sunrise, or the clarinet solo from a neighbor’s porch at 2am. You'll remember that you pushed harder and rode further than you ever thought you could. RW24 ends up being a lot of things to a lot of people. Join us in making it another great community celebration.

See you at the starting line!
